The Digital_TV component provides the infrastructure necessary for applications to receive and display digital television.
In addition to supporting TV display, this component also supports the following functionality:
· ATSC/DVB-S/OpenCable standards
· ATVEF (Advanced Television Enhancement Forum) -- Allows content creators to deliver enhanced programming.
· Reception of IP data.
· Guide Store -- Provides an object model for storing and retrieving information about programs, schedules and tuning.
· DVR (Digital Video Recording)
· Video Control (.OCX) -- Provides a scriptable interface for applications to access television and DVD functionality; also performs the DirectShow graph building.
There are no configuration requirements for this component.
The Digital_TV component requires a digital tuner card and respective drivers. This component does not include a TV viewer application.
