e7357ffa7d move the applet browser stuff into the two shells that actually use it (desktop and overlay) so that we can unburden libplasma from it; makes me a lot more comfortable talking about BC with a straight face. a new browser may end up going back in post-4.2 however

0337120602 new widget Plasma::Frame: 
Can act as a qframe like or as a groupbox (with label) supports
also arbitrary pixmap/svg backgrounds
stylesheet support is still todo and the graphics for the raised version
is still temporary

a6293d363f Extenders enter trunk! The implementation still has some rough edges and fixmes, but the api 
is in quite nice shape and basides a couple of bugs, it basically works. So what are you 
still doing reading this? Port your favourite applet to extenders today! ;)

f925d33c9b -also disable _KDE4_TARGET_LINK_INTERFACE_LIBRARIES() and use the renamed LINK_INTERFACE_LIBRARIES target property 
instead: 
set_target_properties(foo PROPERTIES 
                          ${KDE4_DISABLE_PROPERTY_}LINK_INTERFACE_LIBRARIES  "kdeui;kdecore" 
                     )

While this doesn't look very nice, it is completely forward and backward compatible (i.e. cmake 2.4 doesn't complain,
cmake 2.6 works, both versions work as soon as the reduced link interface is the default (soon), if somebody 
uses this with kdelibs which don't have that anymore he will get the reduced interface instead of errors, so all 
should be ok)

922c85c705 it makes no sense to have the blur stuff in one header/namespace and the roundedRectangle stuff in another: it's all painting related. putting them together, however, makes "ImageEffects" really not accurate. ImageEffects will also clash, concept-wise, with a real effects lib. 
therefore, introducing Plasma::PaintUtils.

95157e20c4 Big patch with several internal changes to krunner: 
-New RunnerManager class, it manages runners at high level 
and gives a simple API for interfaces to use. 
- AbstractRunners gains description, setIgnoredTypes, ignoredTypes methods. 
Now runners can specify what SearchContext::Types they are not going to process.
- SearchContext tries shared data between the original context and any local context.
It doesn't have its own completer no more.
- SearchMatch has a new type of match, CompleterMatch. Instead of using a hard coded 
completer in SearchContext
- Interface class on krunner has its own completer and other changes
done to accomodate the above changes in libplasma.
-A new configuration option blacklist for runnermanager and krunner 
instead of the whitelist of krunner.

24a3d14e68 Commit patch from Alex 
(He didn't have time to make it yesterday and will able to commit it next thursday)
This patch clean up some :
target_link_libraries(kfoo kdeinit_kfoo) which is already done in kde4_add_kdeinit_executable()
macro 	and use "INSTALL_TARGETS_DEFAULT_ARGS" in other place.
I tested all compile file, all works fine but if there is a pb send me a mail.

750094f6bf Add a new Plasma class: Plasma::Delegate 
it will draw all the listviews used in Plasma that acts like a menu, like Kickoff or Devicenotifier.
at the moment only devicenotifier uses that, (so now it looks like kickoff) a port of the kickoff delegate is planned.
if you want to draw additional data you must
can subclass it
call paint of the father and then use  onr of the function the functions rectAfterTitle, rectAfterSubTitle and emptyRect to get the blank space
paint in the rect obtained with the above functions

1420d4ba60 Enables ScriptEngine's like Apple's Dashboard Widgets or SuperKaramba's to implement containments too. Right, that means you are now able to write your own Panel or even Desktop using a scripting language :)

331d163253 add the ability to install packages from files. needs a UI review by another pair of usability sensitive hands. there are still issues, such as lack of double click interactions and feeble feedback on error and success. but it works, now we can pollish.

357656f660 Add a generic tooltip widget to Plasma::Widget and implement it in the tasks applet. 
Applets wishing to use this tooltip should Create a Plasma::ToolTipData struct 
(defined in widget.h) and pass it to Widget::setToolTip().  Showing and hiding
the tooltip is all handled automatically.

While the basic idea is found in this patch, the look still definatly needs some
work.  Still a definate work in progress.

f0cb7e662c - add Contaiment to the build 
- put applets in the center of the screen not the top left (i really wish people wouldn't commit obvious regressions like that? the code was ifdef 0'd out!)
- create a Containment per-screen (in the xinerama sense)
- new loading/saving code; not overly comfortable with it yet but it works and maintains the single-pass semantics as well as the option for us to delay calling init() if we decide to do so in the future
- misc fixes here and there

a29ae57a7d This breaks the existing Plasma applet API, see the contentSize() 
comments below.

* New Flow Layout.  This provides simple icon view-esque layout of items.
  Useful for icons for documents , applications or other tasks on the desktop
  for example.  Supports non-equally sized items.

  Works well when used with the LayoutAnimator class to animate insertions
  and removals.

* Re-wrote BoxLayout and removed old HBoxLayout,VBoxLayout classes which had
  a lot of code duplication.  BoxLayout class now takes a direction argument
  in the constructor, ala. QBoxLayout.  New BoxLayout class actually takes
  minimumSize() , maximumSize() of items into account.  The Qt layout code
  for box and grid layouts is surprisingly sophisticated, so the results
  from BoxLayout probably will not be as good in certain situations but
  it should do for the panel.  New BoxLayout also has support for LayoutAnimator

* Fix Plasma::HBoxLayout and Plasma::VBoxLayout to use margin() 
  rather than spacing() for the distance from the top and left
  margins respectively.

* Fix Plasma::Applet::contentSize() to return the actual content size
  rather than a size hint.  Added a new method contentSizeHint() which
  applets use to provide a hint about suitable content size.  

  Existing implementations of contentSize() in applets need to be renamed
  to contentSizeHint().  The arguments and return type are the same as before.

* Install the LayoutAnimator header so that applets can use it

2475cfed09 Add LayoutAnimator class. This provides a way to animate changes in layouts. eg. Fading in new items, fading out removed items, moving and resizing items smoothly as the layout changes. The layouts themselves need some small changes to make use of this class, and the client code must create the animator, attach it to the layout and choose the animation effects to use.

acbfadae12 move the desktop context menu out of corona. this reflects the design better where different views may want different menus; the dekstop menu only being appropriate for, well, the desktop; other apps may be using Corona for which "desktop" is completely irrelevant. 
this also moves the desktop related items out of libplasma, making it a bit more light.

functionality has moved into CoronaView, which will soon be renamed

77307ba1dd icon buttons generally work now. huzzah. you can theme them with iconbutton.svg with the following elements, all of which are optional: 
- background
 - background-hover
 - background-pressed
 - foreground
 - foregound-hover
 - foreground-pressed

what each does is left as an exercise for the reader ;)

3f2e92b6ae add the start of an icon button. the stupid number of svg's needs to be wrapped into two with svg elements for them, geometry isn't managed right (e.g. we ignore text width) etc.. but the basics exist. should be usable by hacking's end tomorrow, and then we can play with using them to pop menus and expanders. i'll get to Phase yet ;)

8288d58356 DataVisualization remained anemic: it was only offering a single SLOT, and it was pure virtual at that. to keep the inheritance tree sane, it has been removed. 
Widget remains problematic as it uses QGraphicsItem API, but it needs to be subclassed by items that are already QGraphicsItems. ugh.
