Summary: Some of the tests aren't considered to be critical when it comes to getting key benchmarking data for RocksDB. Therefore we'll introduce an environment variable `SKIP_LOW_PRI_TESTS` which enables skipping those test cases. By default all the tests will be run. If you want to optimize the test-case execution then do the following: ` $ export SKIP_LOW_PRI_TESTS=1 $ ./tools/run_flash_bench.sh ` Test Plan: Verified that when `SKIP_LOW_PRI_TESTS` is not set then `benchmark.sh` is called for all the scenarios and when `SKIP_LOW_PRI_TESTS` is set to `1` then `benchmark.sh` is called only for the test-cases which are critical. RocksDB: A Persistent Key-Value Store for Flash and RAM Storage
RocksDB is developed and maintained by Facebook Database Engineering Team. It is built on earlier work on LevelDB by Sanjay Ghemawat (sanjay@google.com) and Jeff Dean (jeff@google.com)
This code is a library that forms the core building block for a fast key value server, especially suited for storing data on flash drives. It has a Log-Structured-Merge-Database (LSM) design with flexible tradeoffs between Write-Amplification-Factor (WAF), Read-Amplification-Factor (RAF) and Space-Amplification-Factor (SAF). It has multi-threaded compactions, making it specially suitable for storing multiple terabytes of data in a single database.
