# Method: messages.setGameScore

Use this method to set the score of the specified user in a game sent as a normal message (bots only).
|
|

### Parameters:

|edit\_message|[Bool](../types/Bool.md) | Set this flag if the game message should be automatically edited to include the current scoreboard | Optional|
|

|force|[Bool](../types/Bool.md) | Set this flag if the high score is allowed to decrease. This can be useful when fixing mistakes or banning cheaters | Optional|
|
|
|peer|[Username, chat ID, Update, Message or InputPeer](../types/InputPeer.md) | Unique identifier of target chat | Optional|
|
|
|id|[int](../types/int.md) | Identifier of the sent message | Yes|
|
|
|user\_id|[Username, chat ID, Update, Message or InputUser](../types/InputUser.md) | User identifier | Optional|
|
|
|score|[int](../types/int.md) | New score | Yes|
|
